Looking for a Review?

When requesting a review

  • Include “Review Request” in the subject line
  • Please include a blurb/excerpt from the story.
We want to be able to understand the basic idea behind your book, in order to accurately and honestly commit to a review. Nothing sent in a review request will be shared without permission, but to find the best reviewer for the story — this will help.
  • Please include a means of contact in case of any questions.
I communicate best through email, but if you have a PA or someone that specifically handles your blog communications, please specify that.
  • Any links to help readers access you & your work!
Even if your story doesn’t work at this time for the blog or there are no reviewers free, we are always happy to be sharing! Please include your social media contacts, purchase links, your website, newsletter sign up, Goodreads, Amazon author page, etc.
  • The time frame in which you’d like the review completed.
The blog often has several commitments to review already in place, so to avoid disappointing authors, this is key. Any reviewer for Ramblings of a Bookworm will always be honest with their schedule and availability.

    • Just because the blog is booked, doesn’t mean we don’t want to read your story! Let us know if you have any releases in the future, as well!
  • Where you’d like the review to be posted.
Some reviewers are not able to post on certain purchase sites, so please be sure to clearly include which locations you’re looking to have reviews posted. Currently we have reviewers able to post on Amazon, BookBub, and Barnes & Noble. Other locations can be negotiated or may be included in the future as more reviewers are added to the team.
  • Anything else you’d like included!
When posting a review, we are happy to share teasers, links, etc. So be sure to include anything you’d like to be potentially shared with a review.

What you can expect from reviewers:

  • An honest discussion of your story.
Never will a review be posted if the reviewer is having an issue of the story without author contact. Whoever does the review will contact the author prior to the agreed posting date to discuss.
  • No spoilers!
  • Updates on Goodreads.
Although these updates may not be in specific increments, your book will be posted as “currently reading” to Goodreads & the FB blog page.
  • A blog post containing your book cover photo, short synopsis, and full review.
The review will be added to Goodreads, Bookbub, and Amazon, but a blog post (on here and FB) will also be shared. In this post, please be sure the blog has current links, synopsis, and cover photo to include. This is not required, but can be an asset to you.
  • Shared on multiple social media platforms.
Blog posts are automatically shared to the blog’s FB page, Instagram, & Twitter (those accounts appear on this blog page if you’d like to check them out). We are always happy to tag you in posts, so include all your social media handles!!
  • Review will also be posted on Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and BookBub.
If other purchase locations need a review, please specify this in your request. Some reviewers may not be able to review to all locations, so we want to be sure things get shared as agreed.

Feel free to address any other concerns or questions in your email and I’d be happy to discuss any other requests you might have.

Hey there!

My name is Jazmyne and I’m the founder of Ramblings of a Bookworm! I’m a teacher. This still makes me anxious, eager, terrified, excited, awestruck, worried, and about a hundred other emotions all rolled into one.

I love God. I love children. I love my mom.

I  live in a moderately fanciful apartment building located in the midst of much greenery and away from those most of those obnoxious motorized vehicles.

I hope for my future to be filled with happiness, joy, love, encouragement, and new shoes.

Ultimately I’d just like to make a difference in just one life.

  1. Hi

Could I send you my debut book for review?

It is the first part of a thrilling series, with 60 chapters each set in real time taking the reader 1 minute to read (hence Sixty Minute Reads series)

It is available on Kindle Unlimited or paperback here, but I am able to email you a PDF version if you’d prefer?

“Holly Holloway is locked in a dusty room, strapped to a ticking bomb.

What would you do, if you only had one hour left to live?”

    Thank you for your time

  2. Hello!
Your book definitely sounds interesting. If you could email me all the details (listed in the above post ) I can let you know for sure if I’d be able to give your work the time it deserves. I’m definitely interested, but already have several commitments and I am a teacher as well and school is back in session. Thank you for reaching out! I can’t wait to hear more from you! -Jazmyne Davis
